Michael Pollan came to NYC in April to promote his new book “Cooked” at the Barnes & Nobles at Union Square. For those that don’t know who he is, he is an American author of many food related books such as In Defense of Food and The Omnivore’s Dilemma, and has been involved with many food documentaries such as King Corn [2007] and Food, Inc [2008]. He’s an advocator of eating real food (unrefined and non-processed) and is against factory farming of animals.
This was my first book talk and signing event ever and I did not know what to expect. I was surprised how many people showed up for the event. I had to stand in the standing section since the seating section was already filled up.
