NYC Restaurant Week Is Back with $5 Amex Offer

It’s back! NYC Restaurant for summer 2015 will be running from July 20 to August 14. As seen in the past few times, Amex is offering $5 credit back for every $25 charged at any of the participating restaurants (up to 4 times).  It seems the prices go up every time so this would be a little bit of help. Check here for a list of participating restaurants. And don’t forget to reserve with OpenTable just to get some extra credits.

Let us know if you’ve checked out any good restaurants. I seem to go to the same ones all the time. My favorite restaurants are always Hatsuhana and Cherry!

American Kennel Club’s Meet the Breeds of 2015

This year’s American Kennel Club Meet the Breeds event was held on Valentine’s Day on Feb 14, 2015 in the middle of another snowstorm at Pier 92 of New York City. Tickets were available for sale online at $20 for the Meet the Breeds event and if you’re interested in watching the Westminister Masters Agility Championship, you can add another $15 for a total of $35 for both events.

This year, the Agility Championship and Meet the Breeds were in separate buildings. And despite the snowy weather, there were many people (with many bringing their families) lining up for the event.

Two Days in NYC – Day 1

Back in July, some relatives of mine came to NYC with the plan of spending only 2 days here. Being the excited host and planner that I am, I planned out the 2 days in great detail. I really wanted my cousin to be able to see the best of NYC had to offer and wanted to squeeze in the restaurants/eateries she sent me (apparently she loves yelp). What made it easier was that she wanted to visit MoMa and the High Line which made my job easier for planning. She is a huge kpop fan so I definately wanted to take her to Koreatown.

This is what my plan looked like:

12:00pm – 1:30pm
Lunch – Korea town
1:30pm – 2:30pm
Walk around 34th Street
2:30pm – 3:00pm
Travel to MoMa
3:00pm – 5:00pm
MoMa – 11 W 53rd St, New York, NY ‎
5:00pm – 6:30pm
Central Park walk to Columbus Square
7:00pm – 8:30pm
Dinner at St Marks – St Marks
8:30pm – 10:00pm
Walk around 42nd St

What really happened? Continue reading
